The Clow Cards ~ Part II

Here's the second part of the Clow card series. Out of the eight here, the one that I likes the most is the Time, the Sword, and the Power. If I have the Time card, then I could stop, rewind, or forward time. It would be so cool. Plus, the Sword looks kind of interesting, too. Also, I like the Power because the girl who represent power is so cute. In addition, if I have the Power, then I would be stronger and have super strength.

Reflection

On The Road, 向世界出發, is a Cantonese television travel series produced by TVB (Television Broadcasts Limited) in Hong Kong. The show is currently in its 3rd season. The meaning of the Chinese title is "Set off to the World." It gives a sense of the start of a journey to different parts of the global, experiencing different cultures and customs of different nations. It is well-known as it offers famous people lots of chances to "embrace" the world and reflect on their lives. Some of the places that the famous people have already went to are Cambodia, Brunei, Yunnan, Israel, Mauritius, Kyoto and Shanxi (from season 2). I have already watched several episodes from season 2 and 3. I don't think that I have finished season 1. When this series came out, I used to think that it's boring, since the MC (each MC goes to different place throughout the series) talks about how their view of different aspects of life used to be and how it has changed since their journey has begun. Mostly, they talks about their reflection of "life" and we don't need to have a lavish life in order to be happy, a simple life can be good as well. One day I coincidence caught attention of the show when TVB put the show back on air, I watch the entire episode. As I was watching it, I did some thinking of what the MC is talking out and relates it to my life. It was so meaningful; the show and what the MC said. From that time, I starts to think that this series is not bad at all, but it can be interesting. I would recommend this show to others, but it depends if he/she can understand what they are saying if they don't know the language, Cantonese. I think they sell season 2 on yesasia.com, but I think that they do not come with English subtitles.

The Clow Cards ~ Part I

What are Clow cards?
They are magical cards created by the half-English half-Chinese sorcerer named Clow Reed (a character created by CLAMP). The Clow cards were sealed within the Clow Book. Each card has its own personality and characteristics.

Below are the original Clow cards created by Clow Reed. I only put up the first eight cards, and later I will put up the next eight. All of the cards are listed in the order they are captured in the anime.

Did you know that you can use the Clow cards as Tarot cards? In the Clow Book, there are 52 Clow cards in total.

In eight of these cards, my favorite one is Windy, because Windy was the first to be introduced, and somehow, I love the winds. I think the element "wind" is nice and cool. Next, I like Fly cause the giant bird looks kind of cool, plus if this card is real in "real life", then I could use this card to fly around. Plus, I would use Windy to control the winds. In addition, I like the Watery due to its an elemental card which is stronger than the basic ones. I think the Watery is interesting as well along with its cool design. Rain is kind of cute.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

...I woke up extra early today than the usual time that I wake up during times when there's no school. Maybe it's due to the noises from the parade and people shouting. For now, I'm still staying at home and doing nothing, I have caught up with at least 95% of my school work, except for 1 that I need my teacher help on. Maybe I should persuade my cousin to go out shopping with me, but lately she seems to love to stuck on the Internet watching anime more. I'm the same as her. Recently, I went back to watch Prince of Tennis, even through this series came out a few years ago, it is still funny and interesting.

Daily Update

It's been a long time since the last post. Right now, I'm off from Spring Break and I don't have any plans to go anywhere. Today, I don't have to go to my night class, English 101. Last week, I didn't have to go either, because last week was that college's Spring Break. Today, there's no class because there's conferences regarding our Test 2 and current grades in that class. On my last test, which is Test 1, I got a perfect score (200/200). My teacher passed back Test 2 to me today. I got (210/225), and he said if he was to average both test together, then my percentage in that class would be around 96%, which I assume is an A (on the syllabus, 90-100 is an A). I will continue to work hard to earn A on my next test and final exam.

On this random post, I'm going to talk about Knightmare Frame from Code Geass (both R1 and R2).

What is a Knightmare Frame?
Humanoid war machines in the anime series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. In the series, they were developed by the Holy Britannian Empire. During the invasion of Japan (later renamed to Area 11 when the land was controlled by the Britannian Empire), Knightmare Frames are almost completely used in place of the outdated main battle tanks which we still use today. The name "Knightmare Frame" is a play on the word nightmare and a knight's mare.
