Mokona's Profile

Mokona Modoki
Mokona Modoki is the name give to the two rabbit-like creatures; one is black and the other is white. They appears are a crossover characters in Clamp’s sister series which are Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle and xxxHOLiC. Mokona also appears in another Clamp’s earlier works, Magic Knight Rayearth. Mokona refers to any or both characters. They never called by their real names and always refer themselves in third person. The Black Mokona’s real name is Larg and the White Mokona’s real name is Soel. The Mokonas does not have a birthday, so they chose February 14 as their birthday. There have not been any details explaining what exactly a Mokona is. Whenever Mokona was asks “What is Mokona?” The Mokonas would answer “Mokona is Mokona.”

The Mokonas are copies created by Yûko Ichihara and Clow Reed of an original Mokona who appears in Magic Knight Rayearth. Yûko and Clow encountered the original Mokona from a time when they were traveling through different worlds. The original Mokona provided Yûko and Clow with knowledge of alternative dimensions. They created the two Mokonas base on the original Mokona after they learn that one day a Sakura and Syaoran from an alternate world would come to their world to ask for help. The Mokonas’ difference from the original Mokona was the difference in size and the ability to talk unlike the original Mokona which would only say “Puu!” Each of the Mokona was given an earring which matched the color of the gem on its forehead. The White Mokona, Soel, wears a red earring that boosts magic power. The Black Mokona, Larg, wears a blue earring that seals magic power. In Chapter 133 of Tsubasa, Yûko explained to the TRC group (composes of the main characters) that the Mokonas were created in order to stop the plans of Fei Wong Reed’s wishes. Fei Wong Reed’s wishes was to bring the dead back to life.

The White Mokona, Soel, is very cheerful, optimistic and energetic being. The name Soel comes from the rune Sôwilô meaning sun. Mokona posses several astonishing abilities such as traveling to different worlds, teleporting objects from one world to another, and sensing strong auras. Mokona was given to Syaoran and the others in the TRC group by Yûko for the prices they paid. Mokona helps the TRC group to travel to different worlds in the search for Sakura’s feathers (source of power; memories). The White Mokona allows the TRC group to communicate with Yûko through the Black Mokona. Mokona allows the TRC group to understand different languages, since each members of the group comes from different worlds. Mokona helps to locate Sakura’s feathers; whenever Mokona detect one, it goes “mekkyon” to alerts the others that Mokona has detect a feather is near them. Mokona loves to tease Kurogane and has a strong fondness for alcoholic drinks. Mokona has started that it has 108 Secret Skills.

Some of the skills that have been revealed so far are:

The Black Mokona, Larg, isn’t quite as enthusiastic and energetic as White Mokona. Mokona is also a teaser who loves to tease Watanuki from xxxHOLiC. Mokona is able to see ghosts, which is something that the White Mokona cannot do. Mokona has the ability to devour spirits and compress them into a ball. The main purpose of Black Mokona is to stay in contract with the White Mokona, so that Yûko can know where the group is and assist them if necessary for a certain price. The Black Mokona is able to teleport things to the White Mokona.

Concerns for the Environment

I'm quite concerns about "Environment." As I see "the world" everyday, it seems to be getting "more polluted," because people tends not to protect the environment or cares about it. Some only cares about their needs and wants that are in front of them. I'm glad that there are still people out there who have insight. Not only they think about their current needs and wants, but also how their actions will have an affect(s) on the future.

One of the topic that President Obama addressed on the previous Tuesday was about "Clean Energy." I totally agree with his point, because if we don't starts to produce "clean energy" that are renewable, rather than burning fossils fuels which are nonrenewable and the cause of pollution.

Three Strategies For Improving My Time Management

I'm already managing my time by:
a.) Create a list of things that I know that I need to get complete. I have been creating a similar list since the beginning of high school. I called it the "Homework Checklist." I made this list mostly everyday to keep track of my homework or tasks.

b.) Do my homework before anything. The first thing I did before doing anything was my homework. Sometimes, I will eat lunch and works on the homework at the same time. I will complete my homework in one sitting if possible, and I did it most of the time.

c.) I will create a schedule with important dates of things that I need to know, projects' due dates, co-curricular activities, things to do after classes, etc. I have been putting this schedule with my "Homework Checklist," to make sure that I won't forgot which dates are important to keep track on.

Where My Time Goes

Most of my time goes to school related things like going to school, and working on homework, assignments, and projects. After that, I believe it's my sleeping time. Lastly, I use some of the time as free time where I try to relax and be free from stress.

What I Have Learned To Evaluating My Time Schedule

I learned to use the library to study, where it's quiet, but I think my room is more quite. I like to study in my room, because I don't like to work where's there are people around me, even if that's place is quiet.

Strategies I Use To Make My Daily, Weekly, And Semester Schedule

I make a checklist of things that I need to do for the day which will also include the week and semester important tasks/things to do on it, too. I will include the things that I need to do like homework, and projects, important dates related to school, and the schedule of co-curricular activities dates on it.

My Strengths And Weaknesses In My Time Management Practices

My strength in my time management practices was I always don't procrastinate. I know the differences between "what's important and urgent." I will always finish my works before the deadlines, since I know it's important to get it done before it becomes urgent, where it becomes a last-minute works. I don't like to do last-minute works, because it's frustrating and troublesome. I will get my works done before the due date, so I will have extra time to edit or make some improvement on it. My weakness in my time management practices was not allowing time to socialize, since I spend most of the time alone.

My Top Five Time Wasters

I don't have any time wasters because I don't like to waste time. I won't waste time doing useless things like go outside and play. I think that it's stupid and waste of my energy. I would rather stay inside the house. I don't like to talk on the phone at all or doing anything that I consider as troublesome. I don't waste time because the first time I did after I got home from school or night class was to do my homework(s). I will finish them. After that, I will use the remaining time to relax. Occasionally, but not all the times, I will take an afternoon nap after I finished my homework(s) because I was extremely tired that day. If I feel stress, I might play video games, watch anime, or read manga. I will concentrate on my school works before I do anything else, including eating lunch, since I don't eat lunch at school, or dinner, I went to night class before dinner starts and came back after dinner has ended.

Daily Update

If you have notice, I have just changed my blog name. The last blog name was just a random name that I created to fill into the form to get the blog started. I like the new name "Synchronicity," which means "meaningful coincidences." Even through, it's meaning was "meaningful coincidences," I believe there are no such things as coincidences. There's only hitsuzen, which means "fate", but to be more accurate it's "inevitability." Although I do not believe in coincidences, but I do love it's meaning; synchronicity: "the experience of two or more events which are causally unrelated occurring together in a supposedly meaningful manner. The conceptual relationship of minds, defined as the relationship between ideas, is intricately structured in its own logical way and gives rise to relationships that are not causal in nature." The name was inspired by Clamp's works: Tsubasa Chronicle and xxxHOLiC. Do you believe in synchronicity?

1/2 Ouji (1/2 王子)

I was rereading this series (it only have about 5 chapters out now, but it's still ongoing), since I was bored. This is definitely one of my favorite manhwa series because it's so funny! I like the main character, she's so cool! Plus, this manhwa is quite interesting. The theme of this series was based on a virtual MMORPG. It's so cool; I wish they have this virtual game in real life, where you played as a character in a virtual world in real time. You can experience the 5 senses. The most important thing of all, one of the manhwa's genre was gender bender. I love gender bender, it's more unique and funnier than those normal manga or manhwa genre. My favorite scene was when she first played the game as a male character (an elf), she was trying to figure out how to play the game, and then she was suddenly got attack or ambush by a red wolf. In the beginning, she was scared at it and tries to run away from the wolf. This situation changes when she got bite by the wolf, which made her mad, she started to beat up the wolf. The wolf didn't even get a second to react, and when it tries to leave, she wouldn't let it leave. It's so funny. I think this series is a good one to read and it's good for everyone.

College Tour's Reflection

Last week..I think it is...I went on a field trip or you can say a college tour with my people from my school. The place we went to was a 4-year public university. Not including myself, there were about 150 kids who went along. How should I describe the trip? Well, the tour itself was fine in the beginning, but as time pass by it's starts to get embarrassing. We were supposed to be quiet as possible so we don't disturb others, but the "others students" who doesn't seems to care at all are being all loudly and disturbing. The thing that I dislike the most is when we were in a room receiving a presentation (this time, the students are not at fault). There's a guy who's a representative from a company that does retail store. He ask us a question and it was "Why do you think diverse is important to our company?" Actually the answer is obvious, but I don't feel like answering it. There's a person on the back who raise his hands and answer the question correctly. Guess what that person, the representative from a big company, said? He said, "I didn't expect anyone to answer that question correctly." I feel offended but I stay quiet, because if I do, then I would be considered rude. Well, let's talk about the good things. The university does not look bad at all. They have lots of good and advanced equipments and facilities for students to use for their study.

Recipe: Cupcakes (in quick 10 minutes)

Cupcakes: Makes 4 to 5

Ingredients:
1 egg, 2/3 cup milk, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1-1/2 cups pancake mix

Procedures:
1.) Add egg, milk, and sugar to a bowl and mix.
2.) Add pancake mix and stir well.
3.) Pour into paper cups, filling each halfway. If you add too much batter, it'll overflow when you cook it, so be careful.
4.) Put the paper cups from step 3 into the microwave and heat (approx. 4 to 5 minutes in a microwave). It's done when you poke it with a toothpick and comes out clean!

You can add chocolate chips, dried fruit, nuts, or banana slices to the batter and make different kinds!

"Computer Use In The Classroom"

I believe that it's important for students to be awarded some free time to use the computers in the classrooms. It's a no loss reward. The students did earn that, right (from their hard work)? While others can use this opportunities to learn how to use a computer. As you may have notice, right now we are in the new era where technology is at large. We depends on technology a lot of times. Like myself, I get on my computer a lot of times every day. When a student is using a computer, he or she is making improvements on their computer usage skills, or you can it's a life skills. You need to know how to use a computer without a problem this day, so its not a bad idea to give students extra time to learn how to use it or make improvement to get familiar with the functions of the computer.

Current Event

There's a recent forest fire in Australia. "Australian wildlife devastated by fires" causing native habitat and animal shelters to be destroyed. Not only that the forest fire destroyed animals' habitat, it also killed many life. Many animals were killed from the fire, while some were injured. Fire can spread around quickly, especially in a forest where there are lots of trees, which can easily catch fire. The environment traps the animals and makes them unable to runaway from the rapidly spreading fire. There are animals who manage to survive from the fire, they are still in desperate times, since there's no food or water can be found in a forest that was burned down.

The reason to why I choose to write about this topic because I care a lot about the environment. It's sad that many life have lost. Some people might not think it's not important, but they are important to our ecosystem.

Daily Update

I took the ACT yesterday. Yesterday while I was taking the test, I noticed that a guy next to my desk is sleeping. How do I know? There's snoring "Zzz..."sound coming from my right side, I was sitting on the row by the wall. I don't know what he is thinking. If he wants to sleep, then he should go home. He can just schedule his test date. There's another distraction happened in that test room. It was a cell phone goes off. The ring tone of that cell was loud and annoying. The test supervisor did tell that person to turn off the cell phone. I realize that; no, I have know this fact for a long time already that there's a lot of people out there who are careless and naive.

Last night, I spend lots of time making a music play list at imeem. I have managed to made one with at least 30 songs. The location of the music player is at the end of the blog, try to check it out. All of these songs are my favorite Japanese songs which comes from anime. Also, if you noticed that there are no English songs on the play list, it is because I don't really have one and I rarely to even to listen to them anymore. I used to, but it is still a few or less.

Today, I went to eat dim sum with my family. I'm glad that I have already completed all of my homework, including my English 101's assignment, on Friday already. If not, I wouldn't have free time to spare for yesterday and today.

Free Write ~ Video Review

Here's a show that was aired last year, 2008, to celebrated the Chinese New Year (the year of the Rat). TVB artists went to a theme park at Panyu District or Pun Yue District (番禺区 / 番禺區) in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. I believe the park that they went to was the Chimelong Paradise. Oh, for those who does not understand Cantonese, please try to understand the video through the pictures, since they do talk in Cantonese (a Chinese dialect).

"President Barack Obama's Stimulus Package"

President Barack Obama are trying to passed the Stimulus Package hoping to revive the nations' economic. The Stimulus Package has passed the House of Representatives' obstacle, but it still has a long way to go, since this bill is still at $819 billion. It's a lot of money, and not many people from the government are supporting it. While this bill was passed by the House of Representatives, there are eleven Democrats who are against. On the other hand, there are no supports from the Republicans, which is very obvious. There's a Rasmussen poll showed that the public backing or supports of the bill has decreased thirty percent. Even through supports for the bill has decrease, President Obama are still trying to get this bill passed. He said on the Washington Post saying that "This recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs." I think that this is true because if we do nothing, then our economy will be at risk. The unemployment rate will continues to increase, which will cause the nation to falls into a deeper crisis later on in the future. Also, I believe when President Obama said, "The time for talk is over. The time for action is now" is true.

Skip Beat ~ +Ch.135

While I was reading this chapter, I was amazed and astonished of what's happening. Natsu is really scary and from the way she acts as how a leader should be like, this prove that Kyoko, who's the one acting out as Natsu, as an amazing actress. I think she is catching up real fast to Ren. I wonder how Ren, Kanae, and others people would react after they saw "Natsu". Other than Natsu who's scary, Yumika played by Chiririn is scary, too.

I can't wait for more episode to comes from; the anime is quite good. Even through the anime is good, it's not as funny as the manga is, since there are more humorous scenes in the manga than in the anime. I believe there will be a live action drama for this series, but it will be produced by the Taiwanese. I'm not really that excited or really look forward to it, but I might watch it if I'm bored. I think the Japanese should make a live action out of this series rather than the Taiwanese, since Skip Beat was created by a Japanese mangaka.

Today's Reflection

I just got back from class, specifically a night class. I'm taking English 101. Today is the due date for Test 1 and our class' first paper. The paper is on skepticism. Since this is a one semester class, I only have about 4 more months to go since this class only started on January. Let's see...I believe I have completed all of my homeworks for my A-day and B-day classes.

About Me

Good evening, my name is Lonna T. Currently I'm a senior at high school. I'm a member of my school's National Honor Society. I only have half of a semester left until my graduation in May. Yes! I'm so happy!

During my free time, I like to surf the Internet, play games (especially MMORPG), read manga, and watch anime - Japanese version of animation. I don't like watching cartoon, but anime which comes from Japan itself. I don't like the style of cartoon used by the American artists because I think that their drawing of the characters or even the series itself is not as pretty compared to anime, which comes from Japan.
